As Operations Director you will work with a small but highly experienced Senior Management team with a vision to ultimately take the reins of the business from the MD (founder) and move into the leadership spot after a successful and appropriate period of integration.

Your overarching remit will involve taking ownership for the maximisation of the company’s sustainable and profitable growth. You will deliver this by working closely with the Senior Management Team to execute the growth and sales strategy, whilst overseeing the operational cost controls, P&L’s and budgets. Alongside growing the company, it’s important to note that you will be operating in a heavily regulated sector and governed by strict codes of conduct, so there is no cutting corners, quality is key.
As a successful leader you will be able to demonstrate effective people management skills and the ability to implement continuous development opportunities for the team including talent pipelining and clear succession planning. The team presently consists of approx 15 personnel at head office and a wider team of approximately 100 field agents.
The company partners with nationally recognised clients alongside smaller, well respected local clients and you will therefore need to possess a flair and passion for client management and interaction as part of your daily duties.
So what would the day-to-day role of the Operations Director look like? Well, no two days will be the same as this role offers a plethora of variety and opportunity including:
- Leading the team to financial and non-financial target achievements
- Overall P&L responsibilities
- Continuous coaching and development of team members
- Regular review and presentation of business performance
We’re keen to hear from Operations Directors who hold strong track records within a sales environment. Experience in mirroring industries including recruitment, training providers and outsourced offerings would be of interest as would an appreciation of the charity and or the fundraising sector.
